Descartes

It comes from our oldest vineyards, in Cori, at our estates. Descartes is the
fruit of a variety of grapes cultivated for some time in the Lazio area such as Malvasia,
Trebbiano and Greco. It is a young and fresh wine, with an intuitive temperament,
which we define as “rational”. Low production yields give rise to
a high quality product.

Grapes : Malvasia di Candia 50%, Tuscan Trebbiano 30%, Greco 20%
Altitude : 200 m asl
Soil : volcanic clay
Training system : espalier / marquee
Plant density : 4000 plants / ha
Harvest period : first ten days of September
Yield : 100 quintals / ha
Vinification : soft pressing and fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature
Aging : 3 months in steel
Appearance : Full straw yellow color, captivating brightness
Organoleptic characteristics : The nose opens with notes of medicinal herbs, pine needles, yellow pulp peach and bitter almond. Intense taste, rightly fresh and savory, agile sip with good persistence and good aroma
